HOW TO GET TO WRANGELL & JOIN THE BEARFEST FUN

There  are two options to get to Wrangell Island:

By air or by sea...

By Air: ALASKA AIRLINES 737 Jet
FLIGHT 65 departs Seattle 7:00am, arrives Wrangell 9:40 am
FLIGHT 64 departs Juneau 2:30 pm, arrives Wrangell 4:30pm

(Schedule subject to changes due to covid-19)

By Sea: ALASKA MARINE HIGHWAY (Ferries)

The ferry operates from Bellingham, WA and Prince Rupert, Canada, also providing regional service to Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, Juneau, Sitka, Haines  and Skagway.

(The schedule has been highly subject to change in the last year, please check http://dot.alaska.gov/amhs/ for updated sailings)

If traveling within Southeast Alaska already, other options include local water taxi services, float planes, or our local inter-community small ferry service: Breakaway Ferry & Freight.

Another new option is Alaska Seaplanes with flights from Sitka and Petersburg.

There is also the option of coming to Wrangell on your own Private Boat. The Port of Wrangell has three marinas with private slips with power, and a large dock appropriate for larger ships.
